CAN I BOOK A ROOM IF I AM TRAVELLING ALONE?
Yes. A selection of our rooms are intended for solo travellers, or for people who don’t want to share a room with their friends! On this website, a “private room” is a room for 1 person.
WE ARE A COUPLE AND WOULD LIKE TO BOOK A ROOM - DO WE NEED TO BOOK A SHARED ROOM OR A PRIVATE ROOM?
All of our private rooms are reserved for single occupancy to help keep the housemate numbers low in each property… we do have some shared rooms available in each house though, which are intended for 2 people to share. As a couple you would need to book a shared room & you would each pay the shared room rate.
WE'RE A COUPLE STAYING IN A SHARED ROOM THAT HAS 2 BEDS - WILL SOMEONE ELSE BE SHARING THE ROOM WITH US?
No! We only ever put 2 people in a shared room. If the room you booked has 2 beds in it, you just get to play musical beds whenever you want.
WHY ARE YOUR EARLIEST ARRIVAL DATES MAY 3RD and NOVEMBER 3RD?
We don’t open our accommodation until the 3rd each season so that we give our team time to a deep clean & make sure everything is ready for your arrival. Any rates that include a May and November stay are already reduced to reflect the 3 days less of accommodation, we do not offer further discounts for it! If you need to arrive before May/November 3rd let us know, we may have a temporary room somewhere we can offer offer you, or at the very least we can connect you with affordable nightly accommodation as a temporary measure.
CAN I INVITE FRIENDS & FAMILY TO STAY IN THE HOUSE IF THEY VISIT ME IN WHISTLER?
We have a strict visitor policy for all of our houses, to ensure that everyone receives the quality of accommodation that they have paid for! Of course you are allowed visitors in the house during the day, provided they are tidy and considerate of the others in the house – you are completely responsible for their behaviour whilst they are in your house. All guests (staying more than 1-night) must be authorised by Ride On Whistler at least 2-weeks in advance of their arrival. Ride On Whistler reserves the right to refuse overnight stays to any visitors. Visitors must never sleep in common areas – they must sleep in your room. Guests must put $10 in the “house kitty” for every night they stay – this fund should be used to thank your housemates for having shared their space! Each housemate booked for 3-months stay or longer (shorter stay housemates are not allowed visitors) is allowed a visitor for up to 7 nights throughout the season, provided you agree to all the conditions above. If you want to split up the 7-nights and share it between different friends, that’s not a problem, just email us the details! No single visitor may stay for more than 7-nights in total.
DO YOU OFFER PARKING WITH YOUR HOUSES?
All of our houses have some parking available, but not enough for everyone to buy a car! We offer the assigned parking space to people on a first-to-ask basis – there is no extra charge. Please give us as much notice as possible if you plan to have a car. We do not offer snow clearing, this is something that as the vehicle owner you will need to organise yourself.
DO YOU ALLOW PETS?
No. We are very strict about not allowing pets in the houses.
DO YOU ALLOW SMOKERS TO STAY?
Yes, provided smokers agree to never smoke in the house or next to an open window/door, and to dispose of butts safely and considerately.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I ACCIDENTALLY DAMAGE SOMETHING IN THE HOUSE DURING MY STAY?
We always try to be as fair as possible in these situations – if the damage was accidental & you let us know about it ASAP, we will always try to work with you to repair the damage with minimal cost to you. For example, if you accidentally put a hole in a wall, our maintenance person can bring over all the supplies and help you repair it – you would only be asked to pay for the materials, not our labor. However, if the damage can’t be repaired by us (with your help), we would need to engage the services of a professional and you would be responsible for the bill.
WILL BED LINEN BE PROVIDED?
Yes. Rooms are fitted out with everything you should require including one set of bed linen to fit your bed, a bath towel and a hand towel. We always have on site laundry facilities.
CAN I EXPECT TO RECEIVE MY $500 DAMAGE DEPOSIT BACK?
Provided you have not inflicted any damage to the property, and have not incurred any fines (e.g. municipal noise fines) then YES!
CAN I BRING MY RIDING GEAR INSIDE?
All hard-goods (skis, snowboards, poles, snowshoes) must be left in the tuning room or garage. This keeps the snow outside where we want it & your carpets clean & dry.
WE HAVE A WEEKLY CLEANER SO DOES THAT MEAN I DON'T NEED TO TIDY UP AFTER MYSELF?
A professional cleaner visits the house every other week: she/he will clean the bathrooms, the kitchen, surfaces in the common areas and will vacuum & mop. You are still responsible to wash your dirty dishes, loading/unloading the dishwasher, cleaning up after you cook, keeping the fridge clean & tidy, sorting the recycling/garbage, doing laundry and keeping your own room/ensuite clean.
SHOULD I BUY MY SEASONS PASS IN ADVANCE?

WHAT HAPPENS IF I INJURE MYSELF WHILST OUT THERE?
We insist that all guests organize extensive travel insurance before leaving home, which will cover all the costs associated with injury on the mountain (including backcountry). You will need to make sure you have access to a credit card to cover initial hospital fees, which your insurance company will then reimburse. We do not offer refunds for a holiday that has already commenced, and you are more than welcome to stay for the remainder of your reservation. Your insurance company should reimburse you a percentage of the holiday costs should you decide to return home. We will do our best to find someone to take your space once you have left and cover your remaining rent.
IF I WANT TO LEAVE WHISTLER EARLY, CAN I HAVE A REFUND ON THE UNUSED TIME IN MY ACCOMMODATION?
Generally no, once your season has started you are committed to the full 6 months. We will, with your help, try to find someone to take your place for you if you really have to go. If it does come to an early departure you incur an immediate $180.00 fee and $45.00 per hour fee for us to find a replacement.
